LIVING SERVICES
Choices' Independent Living Services training is designed to provide the instruction and critical skills necessary to assist the clients we serve to live an independent life.
Valuable ILS training may include:
Cooking (including menu planning and nutritious meal preparation)
Cleaning
Shopping and use of public transportation in natural environments
Money management, including check cashing and purchasing activities
Personal health and hygiene, including medical provider access
Self-expression and self-advocacy
Independent recreation and participation in natural environments
Appreciation of art and community culture
Community resource awareness of such public services as police, fire and emergency assistance with an emphasis on home and community safety
Instructors work with clients in their homes and out in the community
